LA ZENIA INFORMATION
La Zenia is located on the Costa Blanca South, just south of the major town of Torrevieja. This stretch of coast is known as the Orihuela Costa. La Zenia is a small but busy beach resort, one of several areas within Orihuela Costa. It features two very popular sandy beaches for relaxation and the largest shopping mall in the province of Alicante, "La Zenia Boulevard."

There are plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants scattered around the area to enjoy, and it serves as one of the starting or stopping points on the Orihuela Coastal walking route. This gives you a good idea of what to expect in La Zenia.

Clearly, La Zenia is a great location for a beach holiday. You won’t need to go anywhere else, as everything you need for a great family holiday in the sun is right here in La Zenia.

CLIMATE
The weather is mostly fantastic. After all, La Zenia, as part of the Costa Blanca, offers at least 300 days of sunshine a year, low humidity, and mild winters. Naturally, the summer can be very hot, reaching temperatures up to 35 degrees or higher. In contrast, spring and autumn are warm and dry, while winters remain pleasant. You can even celebrate Christmas on the beach, which has become a yearly tradition.

EATING OUT
The best part is that La Zenia is popular among holidaymakers and residents from all over Western Europe. Its popularity surged with the opening of La Zenia Boulevard. Since this new commercial center opened in recent years, even more tourists have been attracted to this beautiful place, resulting in a wide choice of international restaurants that offer cuisines from around the world.

NICE WALKS 
The La Zenia countryside is surrounded by orange and lemon trees. A lovely coastal walk is the cliff walk to Cabo Roig, offering amazing views of the cliffs and the sea. It takes about an hour to walk from the Zenia hotel to Cabo Roig harbor and beach. At Cabo Roig beach, you can enjoy tapas and refreshments in the beach bars or at the marina itself.

Similarly, you can walk in the other direction towards Playa Flamenca. This route includes two beaches with bars, and Playa Flamenca has even more restaurants. If you're in good shape, you can continue the beautiful walk to Punta Prima or even to Torrevieja. This sandy walking path features a beach for naturists. At Punta Prima, you’ll find nice beach bars and restaurants.

MARKETS
There are no markets held in La Zenia, but several nearby. At the end of the week, on Saturdays, there is a market in Playa Flamenca. This market is within walking distance from La Zenia. Another nice little market takes place on Thursdays in Cabo Roig. Additionally, there is a large street market in Torrevieja on Fridays.

Along the beach of Cabo Roig, there is a pleasant market on Thursdays, right by the sea, featuring local fruits, vegetables, food, mobile bars with "Chocolate y Churros," local products, and souvenirs. Most importantly, it offers an amazing view of the Mar Menor.

GETTING TO LA ZENIA
La Zenia is centrally located between two airports. San Javier Airport in Murcia is about a 15 to 20-minute drive away, while Alicante Airport is approximately a 40-minute drive. Both airports are well connected to the rest of Western Europe.

Particularly at Alicante Airport, many budget airlines like Ryanair, Norwegian, and EasyJet operate. La Zenia is well connected by the AP-7 highway, which requires a toll. The AP-7 connects the northern part of the Costa Blanca with the south.

If you are coming from Murcia San Javier Airport to La Zenia, you don’t need to pay any toll if you exit the motorway at Cabo Roig or Campoamor. The cost of the toll when driving from Alicante Airport is around 4 to 6 euros, depending on the tourist season. Alternatively, you can avoid tolls by taking the N-332, which runs from north to south along the Costa Blanca. By taking the N-332, you will pass through the cities of Santa Pola and Torrevieja.

If you head towards Alicante from La Zenia, you will visit the city of Torrevieja, which is very popular among Western European tourists, making it busier. If you prefer a calmer atmosphere with more Spanish tourists, you can head towards the Mar Menor and visit the cities of Pilar de la Horadada.
